Happy Frizzly Friday y’all!
Can we all tell that I am loopy from traveling and getting very little sleep?? I hope these updates have been fun. They sure are great for my meandering brain!! Today is a shorty though because I’m visiting family and I would rather spend time with them than work (no offense, luv u <3).
The website design has pivoted a bit since last time we chatted. I decided that this option might be more fun with the text moving across the screen. Web people might think it’s obnoxious but I dig it. This design will probably be better to start with because it will be more flexible for the very limited amount of fonts that I will release at first.
The preview is pretty bare bones at the moment because I’m not comfortable with Cargo Collective yet. I’m not used to clunking around so much and it’s been a humbling experience!! Also websites are tricky because I don’t really know what’s cool in the web-sphere anymore and I don’t want anyone to think it’s uncool!
Speaking of releases, I am planning on condensing all my existing dingbats into one package and having them available with the first batch of website releases. I feel like most people probably don’t care about them but I think they’re fun so sue me!
Anyways, I don’t have any fonts-in-progress (FIPs?) to share as I am struggling a bit to work on things without a deadline lately!! Y’all are helping tho.
5 Things I’m Into Lately
This is so rAnDoM of me, but my friend Rosalie knit me a little frog for my birthday and now I’m building a froggy doll house for it (going to call it the Lily Pad) and I am obsessed! I have fallen down the miniatures rabbit hole. Here’s a pic of the paper mache Lily Pad phase one:
The song Tall Boy by Abby Webster. It’s more twangy than I usually like but it’s been on a loop in my head for a bit.
I watched the show, The Last Kingdom, recently and I loved it! Historical fiction might be my favorite genre!!
I discovered that we have a local paper store in Santa Cruz that is just so precious. It’s called Darco Printing & Paper. They sell notepads that they make with fun colors and some quirky templated to do lists! I love mom & pop shops <3
I added pink to the TDN color palette and I’m annoyed that I didn’t do it sooner!!
Talk 2 u in 2 wks,
Libbie
